These terms cover use of the Black Mountain Escape, LLC website and provide information about reservations and participation at our locally owned and operated escape room in Black Mountain, North Carolina. By using this website, you agree to these website terms. Purchase-specific terms disclosed at checkout and participant waivers also apply to the relevant transaction or activity.

Using this website

Use the website lawfully and provide accurate information when contacting us. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, send spam, or misuse inquiry forms. Website text, photographs, artwork, logos, and game materials belong to Black Mountain Escape or their respective owners. Personal browsing does not grant permission to reproduce them for commercial purposes.

Reservations, prices, and payments

Room availability, capacity, and final prices are shown in the booking process. Advertised room prices are the total prices, with no added taxes or hidden fees. Online reservations are handled through our checkout provider, Off the Couch. Contact us for gift certificate purchases. Review the total and applicable purchase terms before paying. A group inquiry is a request for information, not a confirmed reservation. Use your booking confirmation for the details of your reserved room and time.

Changes, cancellations, and refunds

Cancellation, rescheduling, late-arrival, no-show, and refund terms are those disclosed for your purchase at checkout, in your booking confirmation, or in an agreed group arrangement, subject to applicable law. This page does not create a separate cancellation deadline or refund promise. Call (828) 222-3711 promptly if your plans change or if you need clarification before purchasing. If we need to change or cancel your session, we will contact you to discuss available options and any remedies required by law.

Gift certificates

Gift certificates may be purchased through the linked online checkout. Review the certificate's value, redemption instructions, and any restrictions disclosed before purchase. Reservations remain subject to room availability. Expiration, fees, refunds, and any cash-redemption rights are governed by the terms disclosed with the certificate and applicable law; these website terms do not add an expiration date or fee. Contact us if you need help redeeming a certificate.

Participation, minors, and safety

Every participant must complete a waiver before playing. Players under 18 must be included on a parent or legal guardian's waiver. Follow your game master's instructions and posted safety rules, treat staff and other guests respectfully, and do not force or damage props. Tell staff promptly if you need assistance or wish to stop playing. We may decline or stop participation when necessary to protect safety or prevent disruptive conduct, subject to applicable law.

We recommend arriving about five minutes before your scheduled time. The main lobby has step-free access, but some rooms involve stairs or tighter spaces. Contact us before booking to discuss room-specific accessibility, age suitability, or other needs. Completing every puzzle or escaping within the time limit is not guaranteed.

Third-party services and privacy

External booking, payment, map, and other linked services operate under their own terms and policies. We do not control their websites. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information collected through this site and our services.

Website availability and legal rights

We aim to keep website information accurate, but availability and details may change. We may correct errors and update or temporarily suspend website features. To the extent permitted by law, the website is provided as available without a guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These terms do not replace a participant waiver or impose a separate waiver of claims.

Governing law and updates

These terms are governed by North Carolina law, together with applicable federal law, without limiting mandatory protections available to you. We may update the terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Updates do not retroactively change an existing purchase agreement. Review the current terms before making a new purchase.
